Union Farm Boarding Kennels

We care when you're not there.



Whilst every care will be afforded to your pet/s all animals are boarded entirely at the owner’s risk. We employ the most rigorous cleaning and hygiene regimes. However, we wish to advise all pet owners that there is always an increased risk of the transmission of any diseases between animals in a boarding situation.


All dogs must be fully vaccinated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis and Parvovirus. We cannot accept any dogs that have not been microchipped.


All cats must be fully vaccinated against Enteritis and Feline respiratory disease (Flu).


These inoculations are normally administered annually. Proof of vaccination must be provided when your pet arrives for boarding.


Dogs do not have to be inoculated against Bordetella (canine cough). However, it is recommended. If inoculated this must be completed at least two full weeks prior to boarding. (Please note Union Farm Kennels will not take responsibility for any veterinary costs incurred, should un-inoculated dogs contract this disease during boarding.)


Union Farm Kennels holds insurance covering dogs and cats during boarding (pre-existing medical conditions are not covered).


Union Farm Kennels reserve the right to seek veterinary attention and follow veterinary advice in relation to any animal boarding should it be deemed necessary (including euthanasia on veterinary advice). Any such veterinary treatment will be chargeable to the animal’s owner if it is not covered under the terms of the insurance policy.


Union Farm Kennels cannot be held responsible for injuries sustained as a result of animals sharing accommodation at owner’s request.


Boarding fees are payable upon collection of pet/s by cash or with bankers card.


Boarding fees are per day (including part of a day).


All days booked will be charged for irrespective of early collection.


Cancellation Policy: If you cannot give more than 7 days notice of cancellation, you will be liable for payment in full and will be invoiced accordingly. If we are able to re-let the kennel for whole or part of the time your bill will be adjusted accordingly.


Any animal not collected within 15 days of stated departure date would be referred to a local animal rescue society, sold or disposed of accordingly, unless communication from the owner or person acting on owner’s behalf has been received and if all reasonable attempts by Union Farm Kennels to contact the owner have failed.

Please note these opening hours enable us to provide the best care for your pet(s) whilst they stay in our care. It would be appreciated if ALL customers could adhere to such. Exceptions will only be made in extreme circumstances and cases of genuine emergency. If you are delayed upon your return from holiday please telephone.
